A Lesson from Bartimaeus

For the Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time…

Jesus said to him in reply, “What do you want me to do for you?”

The blind man replied… “Master, I want to see.”

 Mark 10:51

When Bartimaeus, a blind man, heard that Jesus was passing by, he called out to him for help. People told him to be quiet, but still he called to the Lord. Jesus heard Bartimaeus’ prayer and healed him.

Bartimaeus teaches us an important lesson—that we don’t have to let anyone or anything keep us from asking the Lord for help whenever we need it.

Dear Jesus, I know that nothing is impossible for you! Please help ___________.
