A Message from Helen Osman, President of the Living Faith Foundation

ImageDear Reader,

I’m delighted to introduce myself since I know you are interested in sharing God’s word through the work of the Living Faith Foundation,  just like me!

When I was asked to consider becoming president of the Living Faith Foundation, I reflected on how much my faith has been formed by Catholic publications. I grew up on a small dairy farm in central Missouri. While we never wanted for essentials, money was always tight and my parents considered books and most magazines (at least those that didn’t concern farming or local news) non-essential.

My grandmother, however, who had a great missionary heart, subscribed to several Catholic publications. Those publications made me aware of the universal nature of the Church and opened up a whole world to me. I am sure reading about the Church’s worldwide activities sparked my desire to travel and see all these places which were only available to me from the pages of a magazine when I was a child.

Through this monthly newsletter, [Sign up here if you wish to receive it!]  I’ll be exploring with you our Living Faith, which really has no bounds, either by geography or by time! I’m looking forward to using the Jubilee Year of Hope as the framework for the upcoming year.

Meanwhile, I humbly ask you to join me in praying for the chaplains and others who use our resources to assist those in need of hope and healing, as well as those who are inspired by what they read.

And I pray your Advent season is filled with the wonderful anticipation of Christ’s hope!
