For the Ascension of the Lord, or the Seventh Sunday of Easter…
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you,
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,
throughout Judea and Samaria,
and to the ends of the earth.

This account from the Acts of the Apostles is more than a story of Jesus’ glorious Ascension, it is a commissioning for all followers of the Risen Lord, Jesus Christ.
If we are believers in the Risen Lord, we are called to be his witnesses.
