On the reflection 7/21, Scott muses and share how we can be kind to those around us:
There is a lot of small things we can do be kind. Simple acts of kindness, opening doors for strangers, helping an elderly person load groceries in their cars, letting a group of people go before you when there is a long 30-45 minute wait at your favorite place to eat. Kindness does not mean you do something big and extravagant, just a simple smile, or sharing something funny to make a person laugh behind a desk. I do my best to be kind to the hospitality people when I check into the hospital to visit people. If I don’t put a smile on their face before I leave, I haven’t shared the kindness to them. A smile goes a long way to show kindness to people. Be kind to your neighbor, and see the change in people’s faces.
