For the 9/19 reflection, Anne L. offers a prayer and some thoughts about maturing in one’s walk with God that we’d like to share:
Dear Lord, At this late stage in my life I pray that I have been and will be all that I was created to be. For those times Lord that I fell or fall short, I pray that you will make up the difference with an outpouring of your merciful love and forgiveness. A popular phrase in the past was, “Bloom where you are planted.” It takes time for a seed to mature to the time that it will yield fruit so we need to stay close to the Lord, be open to the prompting of the Holy Spirt and obedient to His Word. Watch, listen and respond. Most of all, “trust in the Lord with all your heart.” Don’t be too hard on yourself if you don’t always get things right. Sometimes God writes straight with crooked lines.
