A message from the President of the Living Faith Foundation…
Dear fellow pilgrim,
Pope Francis has called all Christians to be pilgrims of hope this year as we observe the 2025th anniversary of Christ’s Incarnation. Considering all the challenges in our world today, there perhaps is no better time than right now for us to reflect deeply on the theological virtue of hope and how Christian hope can change our world.
In his decree announcing the Ordinary Jubilee Year of Hope, Pope Francis turns to Paul’s letter to the Romans, writing that “Christian hope does not deceive or disappoint because it is grounded in the certainty that nothing and no one may ever separate us from God’s love.” Christian hope is not superfluous. It is a commitment to prayer and to right relationship with God and with his people.
I know my hope in God’s salvific mercy has changed my life profoundly; I’m sure you, too, are grateful for the hope that has come to you through prayer and through your community of faith. God’s love comes to us through his sacred word and our fellow pilgrims.
Living Faith Daily Catholic Devotions and Living with Christ missals help our chaplains bring Christian hope, as well as faith and love, to countless lives.
Your financial contributions make this possible. In your participation in our annual appeal, you are accompanying your fellow pilgrims as we all journey through life.
In doing so, you are also responding to Pope Francis’ call to all Christians “to be tangible signs of hope for those of our brothers and sisters who experience hardships of any kind.” Our chaplains walk with people in some of the darkest times of their lives: when they are suffering from financial hardships, natural disasters, physical challenges, while serving in harm’s way in our military forces or when a loved one is incarcerated. Fundamentally, the Jubilee is about reconciliation, about returning lives to right order. The Scriptures and other words of encouragement in our resources are truly at the center of the Jubilee.
As you reflect on the Jubilee Year of Hope, I pray you find it to be a time of reconciliation, restoration and renewal for you. And may you consider your donation to Living Faith Foundation as one way for you to practice the theological virtue of hope in your own life.
Gratefully,

President, Living Faith Foundation
