As Catholics worldwide grieve the loss of Pope Francis, JJC offers a moving petition for the departed Francis on the reflection from 4/22 that we’d like to share:
Our souls are indeed waiting for the Lord! Make us, Lord, patient in our waiting, for Your timing is always perfect! In His own time, He’s taken unto Himself the soul of our beloved, Pope Francis in the peace and joy of the Resurrection. What a time to have been taken up into glory with the risen Lord. His soul has ascended to God; his mortal remains will be with us awaiting the day of final rest and repose. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, Amen.
