As we wrap up May, we think we have the perfect Holy Mother-focused comment to send everyone on their way into June. From the reflection on 5/21, Helen shares how she incorporates Our Lady into the everyday whenever she encounters the good and the not-so-good:
It’s hard to overlook what we might feel are unkind words. My response is to internally say a Hail Mary immediately for that person. Whether it’s a relative I never liked or someone who cuts me off in traffic or an offensive (to me) comment, I just say a Hail Mary and leave it in God’s hands. You’ll be amazed how much easier it is to interact with these people who have previously annoyed me A LOT! It takes time, but it has never failed me.
