For the reflection for 10/16, Scott expresses how to unlock your heart and soul to the Christ the Lord and others:
Ever get the wrong key for the door to your office, home or car? Ever locked the key in the house, office or car? Keys are important for everyday life. Keys give us a sense of safety and privilege. People nowadays can have codes to lock the doors of their house and I often wonder if people who have those locks; “Do they have an extra key some place?” In case they forget the code? My parents have a lock box for an extra key outside the house. I wonder if I will get a key to my room in the mansion promised to me because Jesus promised in John 14 there is a room in the mansion for all who believe in Him. I have to use a key to open my stubborn heart, my judgements towards other human beings, depending on how I am feeling, sometime the smell of others get to me. When Jesus knocks on the door of my heart I have to use the key of understanding, discernment, meditation, prayer, humming my favorite hymns, then ask Jesus to use will use the keys of forgiveness, grace, compassion, understanding, respect and love to open my heart again and again.
