Let the Tears Flow

On the reflection from 1/13, Scott offers an unconventional but thoughtful take on the value of crying:

When was the last time you cried? A friend asked me that question not too long ago. When the hurt in my heart is so unbearable, and I sob uncontrollably that I curled up like a ball. When Jesus weeps (the shorter verse in the New Testament; I often wondered how hard he wept). Crying is good for the soul. I believe God and other saints weep when it rains tears of sorrow, tears of joy when one is received in the Realm that has no end. We weep when we hurt, are in pain, loss of loved ones. Tears heal, cleanse and renew. Let the tears shed touch and renew your hearts and be healed knowing God’s forgiven and love are embraced in the arms of the Lord and carries you and I all the time.
