For the Twenty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time…
Praise the LORD, all you nations;
glorify him, all you peoples!
For steadfast is his kindness toward us,
and the fidelity of the LORD endures forever.
Psalm 117:1-2
While this is a psalm for the nations, it is also very personal for us, too. It is a call to prayer, especially to become people of prayer.
Do you need a reminder of the Lord’s love for you today? Lift your heart to him.
Do you need encouragement from a faithful God who never fails? Lift your mind and thoughts to him.
Do you need lovingkindness that lasts forever? Lift your life to him.
St. John Paul II once said, “The witness of a person at prayer is a ray of light in the darkness.”
We always have a reason to pray!
Praise the Lord!
