We’re pleased that Maria Ruiz Scaperlanda writes for Living Faith. But did you know that the author and journalist also penned the official biography of a native son of Oklahoma, the priest-martyr Blessed Stanley Rother? Maria’s book, The Shepherd Who Didn’t Run: Fr. Stanley Rother, Martyr from Oklahoma, offering the life story of Fr. Stanley Rother (1935-1981), was released in 2015, and she’s been a busy ambassador for his story and promoting his saintly cause ever since! More and more people are learning about the life and mission of “Fr. Stan” since Pope Francis beatified him on September 23, 2017. (Watch the beatification here.)
