Poetry from Sr. Melannie Svoboda, SND: “Courage”

                                                        Courage

Courage is a crocus
  pushing up through the snow.
Courage is a firefly
  blinking a soft glow.

Courage is a blossom
  swaying in the storm.
Courage is a robin
  chirping in the morn.

Courage is a gosling
  breaking through its shell.
Courage is a hermit
  praying in his cell.

Courage is a sentry
  standing in the night.
Courage is anyone
  doing what is right.
