Pope Leo invites us to Pray the Rosary for Peace

October is the month of the Rosary. Recently, as reported by Vatican News, Pope Leo invited the Catholics of the world, and those who are willing, to pray the Rosary for peace in the world, as part of the Jubilee celebration of Marian Spirituality. He recommended that we pray on October 11, the feast day of St. John XIII. That day also marks the 63rd anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council, which Pope John XXIII opened on October 11, 1962.

For this occasion, Vatican News also reports the renown statue of Our Lady of Fatima will travel from Portugal, as inspiration to the faithful. The Rosary will be prayed at 6pm Rome Time, (that is, Noon Eastern Time), if you wish to pray along with Pope Leo and those gathered in St. Peter’s Square, this Saturday, October 11.
